RESISTANCE TEMPERATURE DETECTOR (RTD)
RTDs are highly accurate and stable temperature sensors. They exhibit low drift and are suitable for precision applications in low to intermediate temperature ranges (from -100°C up to 650°C maximum).
Their superior sensitivity, stability, and near-linear measurement characteristics make them the preferred choice for temperature monitoring in motors, generators, turbines, gears, and similar equipment.
We can supply RTDs in a wide variety of outer diameters (O.D.), lengths, terminations, circuits (simplex or duplex), and materials of construction (SS304 / SS316).
We also specialize in:
i. RTD temperature probes with handles, springs, customized cable types and lengths, and terminations (lugs, plugs, etc.)
ii. Miniature button-type RTDs with integrated high-resistance Teflon cable or stainless steel braided cable
iii. Head-mounted RTD transmitters
iv. Protection tubes for RTDs
Additionally, we provide:
A. Temperature transmitters for RTDs
B. Digital indicators and controllers for RTD input
C. 3-core RTD cables (outer sheathing in Teflon or PVC, shielded, armoured or unarmoured), used as connecting cables between RTDs and transmitters/indicators
Temperature measurement using RTD sensors involves RTD cables, transmitters, and/or digital indicators. In many cases, signals from RTDs are directly sent to PLC/DCS systems, where alarms are triggered if the readings exceed the set values.
